I run a MacBookPro Retina display under Mac OS 10.8.2 using FileVault. Can I install without any problems Symantec Encryption Desktop (10.2.1 Build 4961)? I am specifically afraid because WDE apparently created always problems. I can not un-tick to innstall Symantec Drive Encryption (the field is grey and can not be changed).

Please review the most common issues below.Symantec Encryption Desktop Windows 10
- I don't know how to open the file. To access an ICE-protected file, you need to 'open' it with VIP Access. This is equivalent to importing the file with another app. External cloud apps vary on how they let you do this. Most use the standard import / export icon, but others may use something different.
- I keep going to the same Get Started page. Tapping an ICE-protected file will take you to the instructions page. Look for the export option on your external app that allows you to open the file with VIP Access.
- I don’t know what sign in credentials to use.
- You may use your corporate credentials if your administrator has set them up for you.
- If not, you can register with Symantec Identity using your corporate email address. Look for the 'Create Account' link to register.
- I’m having trouble signing in.
- You may be using the wrong account to log in. You can use the “Switch User” link to try another account.
- You may not have a Symantec Identity account. You can register using your corporate email address. Look for the “Create Account” link to register.
- You may not be authorized to view the file. Reach out to the sender of the file to request access.
- I tried to open a file through a mobile browser, but I don’t see VIP Access in my import options. You need to access the file through a mobile app, not a mobile browser. Try opening it in the app.
- I have VIP Access, but it doesn't appear as an option when I try to import my file. You need to have version 4.2 or later of VIP Access. Please update the app and try again.
